Have a read of this thread, and a listen to the radio interview Alicia did last week. She spoke about this, and they will be a ‘for one night only’ on the Sunday night. Makes a lot of sense.
Tony Jones jokingly made a quick comment after sport asking if Pete would be going into work tomorrow.
Sounds like they have something prepared for his final weekday bulletin.
Something that has been overlooked is that Peter, Tony and Livinia have been the weeknight team since 2004.

He last filled in for Pete after Easter in 2021.
It’ll be Alicia for the first 2 or 3 weeks and then Dougal Beatty on weekdays until the 3rd week of January.

Jessica Rowe hasn’t been on TV for some years… a husband and wife news duo would certainly liven up the ratings! 
I think in Sydney, Seven are more likely than Nine to implement a weeknight double-head, probably by moving Musher and Angela to weeknights and either shunting Mark to weekends or dumping him altogether.

Seems to be on the payroll as a casual. Certainly doesn’t want to front the news desk anymore for whatever reason, not even one single relief in all these years which would indicate she isn’t interested.

Agree, Nine Sydney haven’t had a double header for years and would be the last to do that amongst the commercial networks.
It would be interesting to see who they would pair with Peter - IF they went that way? Would they go with Georgie Gardner as she currently does weekends, or go a bit left field for maybe Lizzie Pearl or maybe Amber Sherlock?
It didn’t do Channel Ten any harm in the 1980s with Jo Pearson marrying Rob Gell the weather man, though they were not a couple when they joined Ten.
