I wonder who will be presenting the weather this weekend. Steph will most likely present weather as well as newsreading, but i think they should test someone like Elisabeth Moss or Izabella Staskowski for the weather presenting. When is Justine Conway due back? She has been on maternity leave for a year now.

You know itās not unusual to do this in all areas of employment at certain / special times as needed. Itās not just a journo thing.

This. Not only reporters, but also producers and camera / link crews. Working 14 x 5 hour days in an air conditioned office is a luxury compared to what their colleagues are doing (for a fraction of the wage).

Itās worth noting in the past two or so years, Nine News has lost the two Australian Open weeks to Seven News (including the first two weeks of the 2021 ratings season when the tournament was delayed by three weeks) in Sydney.

I personally think Jim shouldāve gotten A Current Affair. Heās a well known national figure with many years experience in the media. And from his stint on 2GB Drive heās had experience fighting for the battlers.
Really enjoying Sophie Walsh on Sydney weather at the moment. Very likeable and comes across warm, much better than Amber Sherlock. Also shows how much sheās grown as a presenter since QTQ weekend weather & Daytime bulletins.
