It’s usually Mark Burrows or Jayne Azzopardi filling in summer while Peter Overton and Georgie Gardner are on break. Davina Smith has never presented 6pm.

It’ll be interesting to see who ends up presenting the Christmas Day 6pm bulletin (and as it’s a Sunday this year). There have been some left field choices in the past, like Ben Fordham.

though she did present the weekend 6pm bulletin on Nine News Queensland in the first half of 2012 when Eva Milic was on maternity leave. But yes, never in Sydney.

Few people who can fill in, Steph Anderson did Christmas Day last year, they also have Rugg, Hegarty or even Kohler, so Melbourne certainly have options.

It is nice to know that Channel 9 (at least in Sydney and Melbourne) have a pretty solid roster that can step up and present a bulletin in the event of an absence from the main rotation.
