I can understand Cam’s move. His sport presenting role at Nine only required him to read out the headlines/stories. Whereas with Alan, he gets to discuss it and give his opinions.

You’re suggesting he chose to “move” rather than was sacked from Nine. Seems unlikely he would move from a show with so many viewers to another with very few.

Perhaps I should’ve worded it as I can understand why he’d accept a role from Alan.
A lot of sport journalists who are really passionate about their work would love the opportunity to discuss sport in depth as opposed to just reading the sports news on the television news bulletin, so I wouldn’t be surprised if a role like this is something Cam would’ve wanted at some stage.
And it would most likely mean a lower salary at SKY as well… that wouldn’t matter to people like Alan Jones and John Laws that made millions over the years.
