She’s definitely been there quite some time now, wasn’t it Amelia Adams she replaced (who was also there a while after she left Ten in 2009 not long after Black Saturday)
Yeah I believe so, then Amelia returned to the role when Davina went on maternity leave in 2016.

What a extraordinary career she had. Both on TODAY Extra and 9News. She’s going to be missed. Loved having banters with her to DC, Sonia, Belinda and Sylvia.

She’s one of my favourite presenters in Sydney. Sad to see her go. All the best for her at ACA in Queensland next year. Who do we think would replace her?
I would like to see Amelia Adam’s or Lizzie Pearl take the role.

I’ve always liked Davina, what a talented journalist and presenter. Hopefully the work she does on ACA continues to be good. I’d like to see Kate Creedon fill her shoes on Extra but it would make sense for someone like Sophie Walsh to do so.

I hope Davina has been put on ACA because it is more flexible. She really should be on 6pm.
It’s nice that they did a farewell for her, but the package wasn’t really polished. Not sure why you would include grabs from her time in Brisbane either when they made a point about her moving to Brisbane??

Seems while plenty of people will miss seeing Davina on the news, not everyone was in a sombre mood, with some taking to Facebook to celebrate her departure from news. As Taylor Swift said, the haters gonna hate, hate, hate, hate, hate.
She has had a wonderful career in TV news and, as @nr109nr18 said, is very talented. If anyone from Nine is having a read at MS, I would like to honestly wish her all the very best for her role at ACA in Brisbane next year and beyond. And as for on 9News Sydney and Today Extra, she will be missed.

One of my first instances of seeing Davina on screen was when she (and Sophie Walsh + Erin Willing) did the GO! News Bursts in the late-ish 2000’s. I think before her ‘national’ profile she did bounce between NSW/QLD a bit ? I do remember she was seen nationally for a while before vanishing. Then returning and being a mainstay on the morning/afternoon news etc.
Will be a loss to that part of the newsroom (ala Wendy Kingston) but as long as she’s happy who cares :).

Yeah Davina was TCN based til the helicopter scandal then was sent back up to replace the sacked reporters. But yeah Davina was flown up and down during that time if I remember correctly for Today & Morning/Afternoon news.

That IMO was a major turning point in QTQ’s history; I remember at the time Hugh Cornish said it would take a while for them to recover from the scandal, but only 2-3 years later they would be back at the top of the ratings.
I also believe Sophie Walsh moved up to Brisbane around that same time too?
