Alicia and Tom got cut-off by playout tonight, looks like timing was slightly off, maybe Livinia’s weather went a bit long, we heard her say something like “thank you for your company” (but in the breath and tone like she or he were obviously going to say more), like “enjoy the tennis” or “good night” and a closing montage with theme music and instead it abruptly went to black and that extended Olympics ident played. I reckon they must’ve been 15-20 sec out.

Also, first ad break of this evening’s tennis… And an Alicia and Tom promo (the extended one I saw this morning)! They’re REALLY focussing on this!!

I guess it’s allowed and anyone is entitled to an opinion, but in the context of Nine’s day today with the Aus Open starting, Nine News re-launching including new anchors and awaiting possible other changes… Is this comment really necessary?

It’s a discussion forum, happy to express an opinion, and equally to have it shot down.

The point I was I trying to express is that I was surprised Tom was doing as good a job as he did, for me personally it unexpected as I thought (wrongly) that wouldn’t be the case.

His delivery was more natural, than that I found on Seven which feels more wooden, hence the comparison comment.
