Nine deleted a tweet, the one where TJ couldn’t help himself but crack lame jokes with a tissue box (at poor Livinia’s expense after she got genuinely emotional), good call. The tweet ahead of it, the farewell package that followed on-air, already with 200 likes, far nicer.

I think they should have Tony Jones present sport Wednesday-Sunday and Livinia Nixon present weather Thursday-Sunday so they can be with Pete on weekends.
I don’t think both of those two want to work weekends as they have barely worked any weekend nights, ever. Tony does AM sport stuff.

IIRC Seven didn’t do any special packages for Sandy Roberts (2013) or Jennifer Keyte (2018), as they defected to rivals, the latter I think didn’t even return/get to say goodbye (on leave at the time I think).

Thanks Anthony! Damn it. I remembered that in-studio farewell, which was so nice with one of his children and Jen keeping him company, but couldn’t remember if they did an extended package as well… Shows how well I remember
