As far as Iâm aware Peter Overton is currently on holidays and if Georgie Gardner is still (presumably) on leave as well, Deborah Knight quite possibly might be filling in on Nine News Sydney for a full week.

[/quote] I would say Michael Usher than Peter Stefanovic ( although neither will be used unless the network is desperate so Deb will work right through til either Pete or Georgie return).

I wouldâve thought that Peter Stefanovic would be the current 4th in line presenter for Nine News Sydney, knowing Michael Usherâs commitments to 60 Minutes. IMO, in recent times it has been very clear that Nine want Peter Stefanovic to eventually be the successor to either another Stefanovic or another PeterâŚif you get my drift.

[/quote] So did I until Usher did his last appearance on Nine News in April. Peter Stefanovic only filled in on the Christmas weekend ( as has Amelia Adams and Amber Sherlock in previous years which doesnât say much).

I thought when SCTV said âanother Peterâ, I thought he meant a Peter OTHER than Mr Overton.
I can see how I may have misinterpreted Mr SCTVâs comment

OKâŚI think Peter Overton will be back tomorrow. His endtag (rather than GGâs or the generic) was used on the âSpecial Reportâ promo that aired just after the most recent Nine News Sydney update!

Jess Rowe posted a photo on Instagram saying something about the end of their family holiday. They were in Canberra so Overton more than likely back tomorrow.

[/quote] Must say I think Wendy and Paigey will do well as they seem to have good chemistry and as I mentioned previously, I see a similarity between the new GC duo and Bruce Paige and Melissa Downes on Nine News Brisbane in 2008. However, the professionalism seemed to end at sport. Dominique Loudon is a good reporter (even the package she did was good) but like new weather presenter Nicole Rowles they arenât the best of presenters. However, in saying so, I think they will do well over time. On a whole , I think a few things need polishing ( such as the closer, and the banter which ends abruptly at times) but if I was on the GC, I know I would have two decent but very similar service to watch ( 9 News has a pulled for me though).

Belinda Russell presented the Weather on Nine News Sydney tonight, undoubtedly because Amber Sherlock filled in for Sonia Kruger on Today Extra this morning!

Havenât seen it mentioned yet here, but presenter/reporter Sophie Walsh finished up with Brisbane newsroom on Monday. Judging by her Twitter - it looks like she has moved to the Sydney newsroom. Be interesting to see where she pops up from there.
Iâd imagine Ash Bradnam will fill the weekend weather duties in Queensland for now.
