Who is in line to present 9 news in Perth announcement can’t be too far away

I agree. I really like Belinda, she has such a great personality and has really worked on her presenting skills.

Even though Julie Snook, Danica Mason and Rob Canning are good, Nine is really missing experience in its sports department.

There is Cameron Williams, and maybe Tim Gilbert, then a huge gap. Shame they couldn’t keep Tim Sheridan, Roz Kelly and Yvonne Sampson all who are very great presenters and reporters.

Jayde Cotic is presenting the weather from the Gold Coast studio on the national Afternoon News this week.

Has the light gone out on her? Shes very dark compare to the plasma!

Erin Molan and Danny Weilder are both good. Neil Breen is highly experienced but he’s very ordinary when it comes to on air presenting. Nine should use Emma Freedman for more than Sports Sunday.

Lara Vella presenting Early News again this week.

Any rumblings on who Perth new 9News anchors will be?

Probably Louise Momber… but I wouldn’t be surprised if they made Alice Murray and Michael Genovese weeknight anchors even though they aren’t as well known as Lou.

Tracy Vo is probably another contender for the role?

In any case, I’d imagine that an announcement will be made sometime before the start of the 2018 ratings year.

One would imagine the presenter(s) who are replacing Tim and Emmy would be a lot better or well known. Who knows with nine Perth they probably would choose a less experienced presenter so they can pay them less than Emmy and Tim were getting.

As soon as the announcement about the two let go from Nine, my first thought was that hopefully Nine can get Dixie Marshall back to newsreading, she was their best reader by a long mile.

If she returns to newsreading somehow, pairing her up with someone well known like Louise Momber or Tracy Vo would be a great move.

It does make you think something like that is going to be the case. A big name from elsewhere or from the past.

Just throwing Alice & Michael or Tracy or Louise on the desk in lieu of Tim & Emmy is just bizzare.

She worked for the state government after leaving Nine then after the liberals were elected out in 2016 she gradually made a return to the media and features on 6PR News Talk Radio.
So I wouldn’t be surprised if her being back in the media has made her want to return back to news reading on tv.

I can’t imagine the Nine Network bosses picking any of the current Nine Perth weekend or backup presenters (as good as some of them are) to front the 6:00pm news. Network bosses want Nine Perth news ratings to rise from there current basement levels to be competitive against Seven.

I’m guessing they have their check books out and are hunting for a big name presenter to compete against Ardon & Carr (if not trying to snare one or both of them).

Dixie Marshal would be great. Otherwise I’d like to see Tracy Vo.
