Michael Usher (even though they wouldn’t say it publicly, I bet Nine News Sydney wishes they still had him!) was 26k ahead of Mark Burrows on Saturday night.
And yes, I know that Burrows outrated Ferguson by 36k on Federal Election night but let’s be honest, it’s a bit like saying that Amber Sherlock & Belinda Russell are better weather presenters than Tim Bailey…
Some of Mark Burrows’ past blunders (the “Easter S*** Show” and “Amber or Belinda?” slip-ups come to mind) while being quite amusing, have only re-enforced the opinion that he should stick to reporting.
Again, I ask the question: What do Darren Wick/Simon Hobbs see in Burrows that they don’t in superior (well, that’s my opinion anyway) fill-in presenters like Jayne Azzopardi & Sophie Walsh? Same could’ve been said about Julie Snook before she left Nine, only in a low profile position while dodgy talent was and still is seen on a nightly basis in higher profile postions.
