There was a playout issue tonight, they couldn’t get the stinger to play, so the theme just played for 5-7 seconds after Pete read the final teaser.

This reminds me of when a live shot of Sydney at night was used on the original incarnation of Nightline, which made it obvious to the viewer/s that it was produced out of TCN’s (old) studios in Willoughby in its final years.

I wouldn’t say that backdrop is immediately noticeable.
The one used tonight is clearly Sydney.
They used this same backdrop in the short Nightline relaunch in 2010

Seemed weird to promote a bulletin starting at 10:45 when it was past that time already. Also confusing for viewers in SA and QLD that got the same graphic - were they supposed to wait around for another 30 or 60 minutes for the bulletin?
