People follow an nbn news social account for news, and local news at that. Not corporate Press releases. What an inappropriate post

Gotta agree there, although not as inappropriate as maybe a picture of Burce and his Top 40 Television sets hanging out. 
This also appeared on the NBN Facebook page. Again, why?

That’s where I saw it. Likely they posted to instagram and selected ‘post to Facebook’ as well (just checked you can also post to Threads at the same time)

WIN’s social strategy has always been a tad misguided but posting a full press release with no local relevance is nothing more than a chest-beating credibility play. I’m not sure who they think cares about this.

Yes. Literally just saw the post on the Central West FB page. Signed off by Stella Lauri ‘WIN News National News Director’ which I don’t recall seeing under the NBN post. Might be more meaningful if the 23 bulletins they tout were much more than differently sorted playlist variants of each other..

For the time being, has WIN rebranded the news updates as WIN News?
No, currently all the stories on the 9 News Darwin Facebook page are all branded as 9 News.
