So much green!
Is that green-on-green affair presented from Darwin? Or is all presentation work still done in Brisbane?
They’re presenting from the NBN studios.
I wonder if WIN will change the branding once control room production recommences at Newcastle?
I certainly hope not. By the way I would like the NBN News and eight Darwin news brand heritage listed so that WIN can’t touch it
There isn’t such a thing. They own it and can brand it as they like, notwithstanding any affiliation requirement around the Nine brand like their relay schedule.
Keep an eye on Nine (WIN) News Darwin?
Also heard internally they are ramping up for a potential bulletin launch.
I’d think the new NBN control room would be in charge of this bulletin.
Yes I saw them advertising for a Camo on LinkedIn - there had not been any applications in two or three days…
One journalist and one camera operator doesn’t make much for 30 minutes, you would think WIN would have to piggy back off Nine’s Brisbane bulletin or other WIN reports to fill the half-hour.
The WIN reports from elsewhere would be very unappealing for the Darwin market and you would think send the bulletin back to its grave.
Each regional VIC market only has one cameraman + journo.
There is more than one position available for this, plus they already have Kyrrie Blenkinsop.
It will be like every other WIN bulletin with a lot of generic regional stories and only a few local stories specific to Darwin.
How about stories from the rest of NT?
that’s Imparja’s turf.
Maybe Imparja and WIN could work together? You know, help the former restart their news bulletin and get them to contribute their stories? You know, be a good corporate citizen?
Regardless of how much generic fluff will be in the bulletin, hats off to WIN… who’d have ever thunk this would happen? I hope they market it well, maybe take a leaf out of Ten’s book lol.

but in all honestly, yes NT would be better served as a single Market rather than Darwin on its own.
There should be plenty of content for Darwin if they widen their scope outside the city. Crime appears to be a daily occurrence, although WIN aren’t big on hard-hitting news.
Imparja has barely got enough money to keep the lights on, let alone staff a reporter to help out WIN when it doesn’t even have its own news service. If WIN wants a reporter in NT, which is a massive area to want to cover, they’ll need to pay up. Let them figure out Darwin first before looking wider
Like every ABC NEWS at 7 bulletin too
