After seeing the screens on 9 late news from Perth, I wonder if Nine would look at replacing the large TV wall on the right of screen with a new TV wall like what they did with the old screen on the LHS of the set. It seems to be an issue with any of the tv walls 9 have, they’re all starting to look a little worse for wear.

Nine appoints two new executive producers to Sydney 6pm News

Hannah Spurr and Luke Taylor have been appointed executive producers of Sydney 6pm 9News.

Nine’s Sydney news director Michael Best told staff today in an internal message, seen by Mumbrella.

A Nine spokesperson confirmed the appointments.

As mentioned, the dual EP structure is an unusual one, with the executive producer traditionally being solo boss of the flagship bulletin.

CUTS AT NINE NEWS FROM NEXT WEEK

McCarthy’s timely resignation comes a week before Nine is expected to announce details of its much anticipated “News Transformation” project.

As insiders see it, the project is less about modernisation and transformation, as is claimed, and more about cost cutting.

Wouldn’t believe much of what is written in News Corp, much of what have been written is always wrong. Nine could try and streamline some of the news divisions across TV, print, radio and digital. There isn’t much to cut from news on TV after they canned Darwin news last year.

Nine News Adelaide isn’t broadcasting live from the Royal Adelaide Show at the Goyder Pavilion this year unlike previous years. Will McDonald is there tonight on a balcony area by the rides with Alice Monfries back in the studio.

Great shot. They should just commit and anchor from there.

What? Anchor from the show grounds?

Unrelated, but is screen bit sticking out new? Haven’t seen it before.

Wish Melbourne got this upgrade. Much nicer than the nine-screens on the LHS.
