I wonder if the old set is still hiding in pieces behind the LED wall? When they did a studio tour the day of the set launch parts of the old set were leaned up against the wall in a corner.

I’m not aware of either ever being a director of news (or similar) though!
That’s actually quite a small space!
I’m assuming the camera tracks have been adjusted for the 5:00pm format (left side of the set being utilized for handover etc.
Both have excellent résumés, being senior reporters and presenting their own programs for many years on public and commercial television.
No but to suggest somebody is solely influenced by one job they had, some time ago, is silly.
Amanda Patterson doesn’t put those stories in the show because she’s obsessed with them, she does it because the viewers watch them.

Davina Smith presented 4pm today however.
There appeared to be a glitch at about 4.55pm in the cross for the 6pm news preview, whereby a couple of ads appeared before the news preview did.

Good number of “First on Nine” stories for Nine’s Gold Coast bulletin tonight - even if one was geese crossing the road!
Nine Brisbane had their own bird “news”.
