Nine 5pm news had 9 news logos across a story where the vision had been shown on ABC across the day.
Then they also promoted an exclusive story also with watermarks for the 6pm bulletin yet the identical (uncropped) footage had been shown on Seven’s 5pm news.
7 credited ABC. Wonder why 9 thought it was a scoop.
Most networks aim for a consistent time for packages. Might be a bit more leeway at Nine. I know some broadcasters have recently moved towards trying to standardise their lengths lately so stories can be more readily shared across markets while still keeping it easy to time bulletins out to their exact timeslot.
Automation issues tonight on the 6pm Sydney bulletin tonight.
There was a few seconds silence at the end of the last item before sport and Pete says “OK…. we’ve just had a camera crash …. I’ll pick Camera 3”……
He then reads the post sport news preview off camera and then returns on camera with this unique camera angle to hand over to James Bracey for sport.
“James, are you with me!?”…. “I am Pete!”

Isn’t it great Nine have a local Tasmanian bulletin to report on this big news for the state…

That’s an interesting tidbit. What ever happened to the Tasmania bulletin?
IIRC, it was to launch in early 2023. Yet not a peep?

Very odd situation. Not a peep has been heard from Nine about this.
I wonder if the AFL decision will contribute to Nine getting this bulletin off the ground any quicker?

It never said exclusive. The logo watermark there was to stop 7 getting it, hence the credit to ABC.

Unlike Seven (Michael Usher & David Koche) Nine hosts aren’t in London.
I’ve grown to really hate this part of the set.
The disjointed screen calibration especially kills it for me.
Hoping they rethink this portion of the set sometime soon.
Especially on Today, it’s just so dark.
