There were several issues during the bulletin. Before the break the coming up next segment playout was delayed. In the ad break that followed a promo plus 10 ads played then there was a black screen for several seconds before a promo played followed by 7 more ads then a black screen, another ad then Clint then a black screen then Davina. Later the preview of the 6pm news didn’t play.

Nine News used part of Seven’s coverage from the Oscars with Will Smith’s exchange because it wasn’t censored but bleeped out the swearing.
But used ABC coverage for the rest.

Alicia Loxley on the ground at Mt Disappointment in Victoria. Pete threw to her and she “anchored” the story from there for the first 8 minutes.
Now back to Hitch with other news (crime story, followed by Zelensky addressing parliament) .

And yes I don’t get why Seven is so focussed on one news item that it often does the whole friggin bulletin from the place. Like, sure it’s happened but the world hasn’t stopped spinning because of it and what’s the point of reading the news from somewhere that is totally irrelevant to the actual story.
Frustrates me that Seven never tries to do well against Nine.

I think they are trying to capitalise on the fact that a lot of people watched the coverage on 7. So that was their motivation. However I don’t think it necessary to be item 2 in the rundown.
Frustrates me that the hypocrisy which exists on this forum when it comes to Nine v Seven News often finds a way to rear its head. For example, it was apparently shocking that Seven’s 6pm bulletin was presented mostly from the MCG yesterday but it was fine for Nine’s 4pm bulletin to do the same thing…
