Could it be the angle?

The new backdrop Melbourne is using on their 6pm bulletin is terrible. Out of focus and blurry at best.

The new backdrop they are using on their 4pm is crisp and clear and really good though!

Seems only 9News viewers were ‘mud army heroes’

What’s old is new again, Adelaide restoring their presenter Voice Over:

Lizzie Pearl wasn’t the only one with a new modified VO this week, Alex Cullen also received one.

Finally. Much better like this. Hopefully the same happens for QLD.

Also the first time Matthew O’Sullivan’s voice over has been used on the main 6pm bulletin, as Phil Baildon had previously done it

Exactly what I thought

Agree, the original image was already down to her hips anyway so didn’t need any “filling in” on the first place.

The one on the right in that thumbnail is not the photo they used though. The one that they did was a tighter version of that photo that needed extending.

Wasn’t there a storey about Ai image editing a few years ago? So, this isn’t really a new problem.

Nine’s Afternoon News in Sydney need to stop saying at the end of the bulletin “our next bulletin is coming up at 6:00pm with Sydney Presenter.” Northern New South Wales don’t get the Sydney bulletin. The presenter even said that line at the end of the bulletin between 2017 and 2020 when Southern New South Wales and Canberra had their regional composite bulletins. Just simply say at the end of the bulletin “our next bulletin is coming up at 6:00pm.”

Well, the 4pm bulletin is branded as ‘Nine News’ and ‘their’ next bulletin is with Peter Overton (or whoever it is in Sydney), so I don’t see anything really wrong with that.

I’m sure the hundreds of viewers actually watching in NNSW would be just as shocked as you are.

Not really sure why they are going with a few wizz bang camera angles, or starting off with a far away view, then the camera zooms in as the presenter is reading the intro to the next story. Viewers want to be informed, not be taken on a journey to motion sickness with everything going on :stuck_out_tongue:

Glad the sport preview in Melbourne is now presented from the desk on weekends. Looked like shit being presented from the left hand screen which was made up of TV screens.
