Jeremy Pudney, Director of 9News Adelaide, said: âEveryone in the 9News Adelaide team strives every day to deliver quality news reporting to the people of South Australia. Itâs pleasing to see the excellent work our people have done, and the commitment to news they have shown, be recognised in this way.
âWhat also strikes me, is that this award winning content has been created not just for linear TV, but also 9Now and 9Podcasts.â and âItâs great recognition of our entire team Supporting each other to create and share such outstanding work is at the heart of what we do.
The Pacific Championship final looks to be going to provide a great lead in to Sydney/Melbourne news. At 5:57 there are 3 minutes to go with even a potential draw at full time (donât think Nine would like that).
Edit - wonât be a draw but will run past 6pm
Advised to switch to 9Gem though that hasnât happened.
Pete Overton throwing to the break and trying to pronounce âaçaiâ was just hilarious. Referred to it as Asahi the Japanese beer and said âI buy heaps of the other stuff for my teenage daughtersâ.
Same argument could be made for Melbourne and Brisbane. Sydney got a new desk because after the move out of Willoughby to North Sydney, Today would be using the news set.
What purpose does it serve in Melbourne and Brisbane?
Former Nine News Queensland director Amanda Paterson engaged high-profile employment and media lawyer John Laxon on Friday, The Australian reports.
A staff email from News & Current Affairs boss Fiona Dear said, âI wanted to let you know that QTQ News Director Amanda Paterson has finished up with Nine today.
âWhile we formalise and internal and external recruitment process to replace the role, Kate Donnison has agreed to step in on a short-term basis until QTQ EP Brendan Hockings returns from the US and his annual leave.
âBrendan will then act in the role until we finalise the recruitment process to ensure stability in leadership during this time.â
A Current Affairâs Queensland bureau chief Kate Donnison will act as news director on a short-term basis until executive producer Brendan Hockings returns from annual leave.
Insiders told Nine that the decision to put Donnison in the role temporarily had resulted in staff in Brisbaneâs news team being âoverlookedâ for the position, and had âput noses out of jointâ.
Staff at Nine have also been given a stern warning by management to not reveal any information to the media about matters relating to the cultural review.
The missive sent to staff on Thursday, seen by The Australian, told employees: âThe report told us that leaking information is a tactic used to abuse power or authority and this behaviour will not be tolerated at Nine.â
