Nine News Content and Appearance (2020-Feb 2025)

It could be. But who knows. They might end up someone in the Today Team to bring in News & E-News in September

Not really. Alex didn’t stop presenting 5am when Brooke took over Today News. I think they’ll replace Brooke with a new person.

Yeah but Nine News and Today are different brands. Now they are coming under the same umbrella, I feel it would make sense to have him present news on Today again. Would feel odd if he presents one bulletin and someone else does every other bulletin post 5:30am. But that’s my thought :slightly_smiling_face:

I think Alex is better in the sports role to be honest.

Someone posted that Izza was the new newsreader a few weeks ago and they seemed to have credibility.

Was that leaked?? @David

That’s logical. Whether Today does that is another matter

It is still a full news bulletin… just with a different name. Seems to make sense to bring it under the Today brand.

It’s the same exact format from Sunrise Early News. @NuStraya

It’s very repetitive, I wish Newcastle would go to the local news.

these are exceptional circumstances though

Just extraordinary coverage.

Agreed. We haven’t seen anything like this since at least Lindt Cafe in 2014

Nice seeing Deb Knight behind the news desk for the first time in a few years

Well ACA was on after News and happens to be in the offices at the time. But yeah it’s good to see her back in the news desk.

I opened 9Now to see the news reports on the Bondi Junction stabbing. 9News Sydney has no episode uploaded at all for Saturday, and the Melbourne News doesnt mention the incident within the top stories roundup or even the first 10 minutes…

Edit: OK, I now see that the Melbourne specific bulletin (including news, sport and weather segments) went for only 15 minutes then they returned to the Sydney feed.
