Nine News Content and Appearance (2015-Sept 2020)

It is indeed, thanks:

Launch with Darren and Alison  . Wonder if the set will be yellow because the set was built by QTQ’s local Aldi  .

Strange to see it launched on a weekend.

And then be recalled because the desk is made of pure lead?

But of course, Nine News Sydney (and also Seven News Sydney, to be fair) basically treats it’s Sunday night bulletin as if it’s a weekday broadcast these days.

Obviously because of the NRL lead-in, Nine wins Sunday in Sydney easily and with Pete Overton on deck, makes for a convincing thrashing.

It needs an ALDI super or watermark and a couple of ALDI shopping bags on the desk next to Andrew.

Nine news Queensland might as well introduce info-commercials during the broadcast specficially relating to Aldi

Coming soon to 9 News Brisbane.
All staff will been supplied with official Aldi uniforms. Must be worn at all times, especially while on camera.

It’s so they can iron out any problems before Monday- when they have to air local Morning, Afternoon, Gold Coast and 6pm News.

Have been off the grid for a few weeks and disappointing to see NTD axing their Darwin presented news. Any word on what will happen with Jono Uptin? Given the news will now come from Queensland, the irony is that TNQ once produced news for their competitor Seven Darwin (now SCTV)

I’ll have put together a table of the 20 weeks for all markets with similar numbers to above.

Overton is getting around less than half the audience Hendo got in his glory years, despite the Sydney population increasing. Beating the rubbish that Seven puts out each night is an achievement, of course.

Hendo didn’t have competition from other entertainment sources eg. TV streaming though.
