I liked the theme that was unique with Nightline back then, which was a different arrangement of the (National) Nine News theme.
Jim Waley (and later Hugh Riminton and Michael Usher) was synonymous with the bulletin, as he also was with Sunday.
Same, and I imagine Daybreak would have been the same.
Well yes just interesting that Nightline survive but Daybreak didn’t.
It wasn’t really ‘unique’. Nine simply adapted the National Nine News theme to match the tempo and stylistic characteristics of the opener, much like how ABC America originally used a slower arrangement of their main theme for their own version. The main difference was that Nine’s version ran for considerably longer.
