Is this really the season final? Could Nine sneak in reunion specials the following week to spoil the new season premiere of I’m a Celebrity Get Me Out of Here?

I was actually a bit surprised to see this too.

That would be classed as a final of the series, then the reunions will be add ons.

Frozen Planet II

Tuesday 4 April 7.30pm

Eleven years after Frozen Planet’s unprecedented look into life at the North and South Pole, Frozen Planet II returns to the Arctic and Antarctic on Tuesday, April 4, at 7.30pm on Channel 9 and 9Now.

Presented by Sir David Attenborough, this documentary series observes the amazing species that thrive in these freezing frontiers, and captures the wildlife dramas that play out in the coldest parts of Earth in our high mountains, frozen deserts, snowbound forests, and ice-cold oceans.

The Arctic and Antarctic are the last true wilderness regions, places so desolate and unforgiving that only a heroic cast of animals can exist there. From polar bears to penguins, Siberian tigers to snow monkeys, each species must overcome unique challenges to survive their extreme environments.

As temperatures continue to rise through global warming, parts of our frozen planet are vanishing before our eyes. Frozen Planet II reveals the true impact on both wildlife and humans, and speaks to scientists who have dedicated their lives to understanding these climate changes, and what they mean for the world.

Filmed in ultra-high definition, the cameras capture new animal behaviours, displays of intimacy and sensational natural spectacles, for the very first time. This six-part series is a chance to experience the wonder of our planet’s frozen realms as they stand on the brink of major change. All of the frozen habitats share one thing in common – the threat posed by today’s climate change.

Frozen Planet II is made by BBC Studios’ world-renowned Natural History Unit, co-produced by BBC America, the open University, Migu Video, ZDF and France Televisions.

Tina Turner: The Best is STILL Yet To Come

Saturday 25 March 25 4.00pm

As TINA: The Tina Turner Musical is set to come rollin’ Down Under, you’re invited to take a stilettoed step back to see how powerhouse performer Tina Turner turbocharged Australia’s enchantment with rock ’n’ roll on Saturday, March 25, at 4.00pm on Channel 9 and 9Now.

Tina Turner: The Best Is Yet To Come, hosted by TODAY News and Entertainment Presenter Brooke Boney, will light up your hearts as it revisits the 12-time Grammy Award winner’s greatest moments in Australian pop culture and spotlights the enduring stamp she has put on the nation since her extraordinary heyday in the 1980s.

Set to a killer soundtrack from her long list of great hits, this pulsating special gives viewers a backstage pass to Turner’s fabulous five-decade career. From selling 100 million records to starring in Mad Max Beyond Thunderdome, a chapter in one of the biggest movie franchises of all time, and belting out the famous anthem that forever changed the NRL, Tina was a showstopper whatever she did.

Tina Turner: The Best Is Yet To Come invites a selection of Australia’s most celebrated singers including David Campbell, Casey Donovan, Vanessa Amorosi, Darren Hayes and Christine Anu, along with Nine’s Richard Wilkins, to tell their own tales about Tina’s influence on them and reflect on how she was and always will be simply the best.

Viewers will also get a generous glimpse of the latest gripping chapter in her incredible career: TINA: The Tina Turner Musical, which reveals the moving story of a woman who dared to defy her boundaries and rewrite the rules of rock ’n’ roll superstardom.

The producers behind the heart-pumping musical, fresh from success in London’s West End, show us how they discovered the Aussie singer who landed the prized starring role in the local production – becoming Australia’s very own, triumphant Tina Turner.

TINA: The Tina Turner Musical, opens at the Theatre Royal Sydney in May 2023.

I wonder if this will stay in that slot when Lego Masters start. Lego usually goes for 3 nights a week.

Given Lego Masters is usually a short run series, I think it will be kept to Sunday and Monday nights this year to stretch as long as possible. Then Frozen Planet II will be on Tuesdays and Travel Guides on Wednesdays.
