Everything is a crisis, according to the commercial news departments. Really know how to overplay everything.
Another late change - NRL on main channel in Melbourne including Knock Off that follows
Thursday 11 March

07:30 pm NRL Thursday Night Footy Storm v Rabbitohs
09:55 pm Thursday Night Knock Off
10:40 pm Nine News Late
11:10 pm Manifest S02 E02
(Mega Zoo on 9Gem for Melbourne)
Good call - GTV9 programmers probably just realised there is no AFL on this Thursday night.
The tv guide states:
Smart thinking by Nine, on arguably their strongest night too. Should rate and pick up those extra missed viewers.
So Nine’s Late News is out tonight?
Nine probably thought that it would be “too much news”?
It is a great move to pick up some extra viewers, but watching 60 Mins, then Under Investigation and then Nine’s Late News is too much for one night.
The Equalizer has been renewed for a second season. Not sure if Nine will be interested to pick it up though considering Season One has been bumped to a later timeslot in Melbourne et al and is shown on 9Gem in Sydney and Brisbane.
Nine aired the documentary Revenge of a Princess in January this year.

Shall Nine Adopt an Australian Version of Lingo for Weekdays at 5? Lingo (American game show) - Wikipedia
Question: Why?
It’s a Word Game that has a long run in the Netherlands.
My question is why would Nine want to commission it when they still have Hot Seat doing alright in the afternoon time slot.
Hot Seat needs to go in my opinion. Too old and boring. Could the Weakest Link replace it, or I think it’s more for a prime time slot.
Hot Seat gives a great-lead in for Nine’s 6pm news in Sydney, Melbourne and Brisbane.
Why mess with a winning formula?
Hot Seat rates marginally better than The Chase Australia in the three largest markets, but it’s hardly a behemoth.
Like the program which airs on Nine after the 6pm news on weeknights, it’ll be cancelled and replaced with something else one day. Maybe not in the immediate future, but in the long run…
You mean ACA?
