Nine Network - Programs and Schedules

Is 100% Footy out for Monday? It’s aired for two weeks only, in Sydney and Brisbane. Possibly could have aired for one more week. While Footy Classified / The Oval Office and Footy SA/WA continues?

That’s been on the shelf for quite a while.

Right up against Willy Wonka on Seven.

Do networks get to see each others guides or are they all released at the same time?

Nine might need to consider a rescheduling, as this forgettable trainwreck is a fail waiting to happen against the iconic Gene Wilder classic.

Need I say more: :joy:

Changes also noted in above schedule

Well that’s House Rules finished then.

I thought the finale was scheduled for wednesday? I wonder why they changed it?

Yes I think it will be a mad panic at Seven this morning with this last minute change from Nine. I wouldn’t be surprised to see House Rules delayed until Monday.

To counter the launch of House Rules.

Seven wouldn’t want to make the mistake of launching HR under the same circumstances as MKR (aka probably on the night of one of the highest rating shows on Nine). They’d be wise to move it to Monday.

Nine are lucky that they have first-run content (unless Paramedics is an encore) to fill the Wednesday slot so that they can afford MAFS moving to Sunday night.

That’s the one and only reason. They wouldn’t have moved it otherwise.

No explanation from Nine, nor was one expected. But a master stroke really, right out of a Seven programmer’s playbook from the past (when they had shows that could attract the audiences that MAFS does).

Surely Seven will pull it now, try the next night instead? Maybe Nine were worried HR might find a good audience, especially in these lockdown times and escapism, not to mention no AFL/NRL constantly for promotion/lead-ins.

But if Seven pushes back House Rules season premiere to Monday, Nine may then pull MAFS from tomorrow (Tuesday) and put it on next Sunday, so the latter’s season finale will still clash with HR on next Monday. I think Seven should wait until Wednesday morning (after MAFS has aired tomorrow) to announce any programming amendments.

I think 7 would be wise to push the premier of House Rules to the Monday. Surely 9 wouldn’t then push the finale out further.

Not sure why Nine would be scared of going head to head with House Rules with MAFS. The only thing that makes sense is to give House Rules a quick and swift kill and finish it off before it even starts.

60 Minutes and Casino Royale would beat House Rules on their own.
