My Way
Sunday 9 February
Nine is Doing Things My Way
A new lifestyle program, My Way, will bring local production back to Queensland when it launches nationally on Nine and 9Now on Sunday, February 9, joining Nineâs slate of weekend programming.
Produced from Nine Queenslandâs Mt Coot-tha headquarters, My Way will unearth a style not currently seen in lifestyle programming, creating a sincere and personal approach.
âWe want everyday people to share their stories firsthand, to hear what drives them and makes them feel alive,â said Executive Producer, Geoff Cooper. âYouâll see stories about great destinations, outdoor adventure and weekend activities, told from the heart.â
âWeâll hear from real people, talking about their passions in life, proudly saying âIâm doing this my wayâ.â
Tim Blackwell will navigate each episode, narrating stories to inspire viewers to make the most of their time. He will also provide information for those interested to seek out more information on their favourite stories.
âWhat I love about My Way is itâs so fresh,â says Blackwell. âWe are already used to sharing stories and information on social media with our friends, family, neighbours and community. This is the television extension of that.
âThese stories are direct from the source, with information on how the viewers can get involved when the story inspires them.â
Nine Queenslandâs Managing Director, Kylie Blucher, believes My Way will be a perfect outlet for viewers to step outside their comfort zone and really take advantage of life.
âA new decade brings new resolutions and local opportunities for Nine Queensland to engage with our audience and program partners, to showcase what this great state has to offer,â Ms Blucher said.
Seems like Nine commissioned My Way to try to fill in the gap left by the axing of Sevenâs lifestyle shows The Great South East, Creek to Coast and Queensland Weekender, before last weekâs decision to revive Creek to Coast and merge the other two.
They probably wonât, but itâd be great if Nine were to also fill the gap that Seven is leaving behind with the cancellation of Sydney Weekender.
That press release says absolutely nothing about what the show is actually about.
It could be actually about Canberraâs transport smart card, MyWay.
Thomas Markle: My Story
Tuesday 4 February at 9.10pm
The Markle debacle continues with Thomas Markle: My Story , a 90-minute special on Tuesday, February 4, at 9.10pm on Nine.
Since Meghanâs engagement to Prince Harry, her estranged father, Thomas Markle, has been a controversial public figure, accused of using his daughterâs fame to raise his own public profile.
As one of the biggest and most controversial international stories this year keeps developing, the documentary will delve into Thomas Markleâs side of the royal family saga.
In a combination of first-person testimony and never-before-seen stills and video of Meghan, Thomas Markle details his journey, from raising Meghan on his own to his heart attack just days before her wedding to Prince Harry.
The documentary also touches on Markleâs reaction to the shock news of Meghan and Harry stepping down from royal duties and their move to Canada.
This is the only opportunity to hear Thomas Markleâs side of the story in full, with undisputed access â exclusive to Nine.
The struggles of catching the old non air-conditioned orange buses on a 40°C day in Summer and having to tap your MyWay card to pay for sitting in a hot box.
Saw a promo during the tennis tonight which said the new season of Paramedics would premiere in February. I think it will air on either Tuesday (to take advantage of Married at First Sight lead-in) or Thursday nights.
EDIT 1/2: new 10-second promo aired tonight during the tennis says Paramedica will premiere on Tuesday, February 11, after Married at First Sight.

SERIES SYNOPSIS
We all have a passion. The thing that makes us feel alive. That makes us tick. That drives us to put up with the daily grind, so we can find that feeling of release. It might be a special place, or great people, or a pastime thatâs perfect for us. It helps us recharge and collect ourselves before we face the world again.
What we do may not be for everyone. Thatâs okay â it doesnât have to be. Itâs personal. But it still makes you proud, because it helps to define you. Itâs the thing that makes you say: Iâm doing this My Way.
EPISODE SYNOPSIS
My Way is about your friends, neighbours and family. Real people with real jobs, life pressures and everyday challenges we can all relate to.
You wonât find a polished TV presenter in My Way, or a social influencer plugging their lifestyle. Youâll only hear from real people who share their stories firsthand about their life passions. How they spend their weekends. Their days off. Their holidays.
Each episode of My Way features people who are doing things their way, to grip and inspire audiences to make the most of their time on this planet. This is a curation of firsthand stories told directly by the subject, unearthing a sincere and personal form of story-telling.
My Way will focus on four main thematic pillars: destination, fitness and adventure, culture, and menu. From these pillars we can construct more clearly defined stories that will become chapters within each episode.
Our narrator (Tim Blackwell â radio host) will connect the chapters and bring each entire episode together, with clearly marked signposts to carry the audience along, including places to go for the viewer to seek out more information.
PILLARS
Destination
Destinations, events and experiences are intrinsic to every My Way story. However, at times the destination is the key. Connection to water, wildlife, wilderness or community can feed the soul and re-centre the mind. We find the travellers who are enriched by their travel experiences and discover how a destination or journey can leave a lasting impression.Fitness and Adventure
We are all looking for a little adventure in our lives, and the weekend is the time to find it. These adventurers go off-road in search of adrenaline, thrills and exploration. These are people getting fit by competing in trail runs, training to walk across the Simpson Desert or the Kokoda Trail and competing in Tough Mudder weekends. Itâs fitness and adventure with an attitude, their way.Culture
Finding what is true to yourself can take you on journeys you never thought youâd travel. Whether youâre engrossing yourself in a community of people who love what you love, creating amazing pieces of art, or collecting the collectibles no one thought to salvage. Weekends are for expressing everything that drives an individual. Some pastimes will be eccentric and out of left field, but the enthusiasm of each pursuit will charm and shine through.Menu
The culture of food and drink is booming, with home brewers turning their passion into craft brew businesses and DIY barbecue fanatics building their own smokers to slow-cook the perfect brisket. Add this to our continuing love affair with all things brewed â from coffee to kombucha â and weâll find the people who are out there trying to do things their way to delight the senses.
