That means Melbourne will also get the full pre-match and post-match as Sydney and Brisbane.
Nine and Foxtel have both bought rights in a new documentary Abused By My Girlfriend, made by Century Films and distributed by Banijay, reports TBI.
One for the diary - Saturday November 16th will be the Channel 9 Telethon in Queensland. Judging by information on the website, they are moving away with having a studio audience and basing themselves at the main call centre - with live crosses to the music concert being staged in Fortitude Valley and other events around Brisbane.
On Saturday 16 November, Queenslanders will come together again to watch the Nine Telethon and support sick kids.
The Nine Telethon is the only live televised fundraising event in Queensland. Now in its 6th year, the Nine Telethon will be broadcast on Saturday 16 November and will feature an exciting new format, jam-packed entertainment, celebrities, sporting legends, pop stars, and some extraordinary kids with incredible stories.
Tune into the pre-show from 5pm; the main Telethon broadcast kicks off from 7pm.
Won’t it return the following week?
I’m sure will be like Lethal Weapon and air different episodes in different markets

I think what this video highlights is that Nine still really don’t have much 7:30pm content for Q4 to fill the hole left by Family Food Fight not returning this year.
Love Island is Mon-Fri on the main channel after The Block (according to Hamish) and Hamish & Andy’s show is only a 3 part series.
So, other than sport and one off specials like the Aria’s and Carols by Candlelight, what else do they have?
Fasttracking the new season of Young Sheldon? New Amsterdam?
They were supposed to screen Halifax and also Bondi Vet Coast to Coast
Filming has just finished on Halifax: Retribution so it won’t be ready to air until next year.
That is a huge coup for Nine, and the first time two streaming rivals (Stan and Netflix) collaborate on a TV project.
But I fear the ABC will never get to premiere a BBC nature documentary series featuring David Attenborough, again.
With 9 screening crap like RBT over multiple nights, and possibly Love Island, replays of the Queen specials, they are no better than 7 atm, not to mention the rubbish on 10.
None of them deserve to be ratings leaders, indeed of late we’ve seen nightly ratings fluctuate.
It really was the Ashes that clinched the year for 9 (yes they did have the winning tent pole programs but not a consistent schedule) giving them so many weekly wins. I recall saying that way back at the beginning of the year.
Nine Brisbane is showing Riverfire at 7pm on Saturday in preference to NRL pre-match coverage. Last year it was shown at 6.30pm. However, BOM is predicting that severe storms and potential large hail may impact the event. Not sure what the contingencies are for extreme weather - does the show just go on regardless or can it be delayed?
Update:

Nine had a movie scheduled in AFL states; the change is probably reacting to the poor numbers for last night’s movie.
It was a FTA premiere too. I saw “Allied” at the cinemas a few years ago and thoroughly enjoyed it, possibly bad promotion and/or timeslot.
Tonight’s Riverfire ended on a sour note when the last 5 minutes of the program were spent talking to two Block contestants. After telling the hosts how amazing it was to see fireworks, Andrew says “Of course, we must discuss The Block…” and it was downhill from there. Nine has 2 1/2 hours of NRl coming up to advertise and cross promote The Block, this was unnecessary and cringe-worthy.
You’re forgetting one of the golden rules of TV - there’s always time to jam in a cross-promotion
