As this match is between Group 1 winner and Group 2 runner-up, Nine must be confident that Australia will top Group 1 ahead of New Zealand. If the Blackcaps top the group, I wonder if this match will stay on the main channel? The most likely outcome is that Australia will finish second in Group 1 and travel to Adelaide for Thursday’s second semi-final.

It will be interesting to see if Wednesday’s ICC T20 World Cup semi-final will stay on the main channel, given Australia were knocked out of competition after England beat Sri Lanka at the SCG last night. New Zealand topped the group and would play at the same venue on Wednesday, while England finished second and would travel to Adelaide for the other semi-final on Thursday.

It does look like the show did fail on Nine last night also.

He meant they’re airing it on Nine, now. (To try gain traction as the 9Go airings were low). Not 9Now the platform. But, yes, it airs first on 9Now at 6pm then 9Go at 8:30pm.

It seems strange they’d bother with a main channel encore, considering it’d be virtually unknown it was on and would probably not even have close to its target demographic. I did see during the week that 9Go! had a shocker, even worse than its usual mid 1% weeknight average. Wonder if something else is going on, like someone mentioned desperate for any traction if internally really worried or maybe a ratings target wasn’t met and a sponsor is already not pleased? I thought they gave up on main channel after last time moving it there to very bad prime time audiences, such as just 100 or 200k metro.
