They’ve already bloated out their reality shows this year and now they’re going for one of their very few non-reality shows that rate well?

Nice one Nine.

It’s part of Nine’s current broadcast deal with the NRL, which includes Saturday night matches in the last five rounds of home and away season. Fox Sports provides the pictures and Nine does the commentary.

Viewers in Melbourne, Adelaide and Perth will get to see the premiere of Desert Vet Season 2.

Wasn’t this just on Seven?

Very excited to watch two Friday night footballs during the week.

Instead of showing umpteen repeats of Kath & Kim, why doesn’t Nine pick up some of the other good ABC comedies for a repeat run? I think they could have similar success with Upper Middle Bogan. Also, The Librarians could find a new audience.

Kath & Kim had widespread demographic appeal though, that is why it is in the country’s lexicon. First on ABC then on Seven. Plus I don’t think they’re looking at busting their budget further, I’m sure they’ll be happy running what they have already paid for until finished in that 10pm-odd slot.

Sure. But once they’ve run all the episodes then how about trying something else? They could have the same success with another series rather than just being stuck on the same show over and over again.

If they are so intent of going for past ABC shows (instead of being innovative themselves) then Utopia would be a good option as well instead of endless Kath and Kim.

They got away with it in 2017 as it outrated several shows on Seven in the demos but really even the most diehard fans would probably be sick of Nine’s treatment of the show.

It might be a bit too political for the average commercial TV viewer. Kath and Kim is a satire but works on multiple levels.
