Meghan Special on Monday and Thomas Markle Special on Tuesday? Yawn!

Also, interesting choice in putting Taronga on a Saturday night. Nine has tried normal shows on Sat night in the past, but they generally fail and they end up putting movies back on (some Dance show from the US; the Voice repeats etc).

Yes, although Attenborough bucked that trend

This aired on ITV in UK on January 12.

This was shown on Channel 5 UK last week. Nine bought the documentary from international distributor Banijay Rights.

Two editions of the news on Sun 2nd in Perth - 3 and 9pm.

My Way

Sunday 9 February

Nine is Doing Things My Way

A new lifestyle program, My Way, will bring local production back to Queensland when it launches nationally on Nine and 9Now on Sunday, February 9, joining Nine’s slate of weekend programming.

Produced from Nine Queensland’s Mt Coot-tha headquarters, My Way will unearth a style not currently seen in lifestyle programming, creating a sincere and personal approach.

“We want everyday people to share their stories firsthand, to hear what drives them and makes them feel alive,” said Executive Producer, Geoff Cooper. “You’ll see stories about great destinations, outdoor adventure and weekend activities, told from the heart.”

“We’ll hear from real people, talking about their passions in life, proudly saying ‘I’m doing this my way’.”

Tim Blackwell will navigate each episode, narrating stories to inspire viewers to make the most of their time. He will also provide information for those interested to seek out more information on their favourite stories.

“What I love about My Way is it’s so fresh,” says Blackwell. “We are already used to sharing stories and information on social media with our friends, family, neighbours and community. This is the television extension of that.

“These stories are direct from the source, with information on how the viewers can get involved when the story inspires them.”

Nine Queensland’s Managing Director, Kylie Blucher, believes My Way will be a perfect outlet for viewers to step outside their comfort zone and really take advantage of life.

“A new decade brings new resolutions and local opportunities for Nine Queensland to engage with our audience and program partners, to showcase what this great state has to offer,” Ms Blucher said.

Seems like Nine commissioned My Way to try to fill in the gap left by the axing of Seven’s lifestyle shows The Great South East, Creek to Coast and Queensland Weekender, before last week’s decision to revive Creek to Coast and merge the other two.

They probably won’t, but it’d be great if Nine were to also fill the gap that Seven is leaving behind with the cancellation of Sydney Weekender.

That press release says absolutely nothing about what the show is actually about.

It could be actually about Canberra’s transport smart card, MyWay.
