I guess the headlines will write themselves if this flops.
‘Nine’s new stripped reality jumps the shark, literally, in ratings’

If reverse, there’s always “Nine eats the competition alive”.

Like I said I was expecting like Masked Singer & Food competitions.
It’s just repeats with drama and more drama in 2026

And locking multichannels out by putting them behind Stan paywall, of course.
Yeah. This years Upfronts are all about Stan Stan Stan. Ugh.

Media releases from Nine
With so many of Nine’s programs enjoying record or near record ratings, I guess the network can now take risk with shows, before the 2027 Ashes tour and 2028 Los Angeles Olympics.

Note:
Does Stan carry advertising? (I don’t have Stan)
No, but would not be surprised if they introduce adverts for lower levels like Netflix
I think this may become their undoing. Moving MAFS behind a paywall for Wednesday eps could alienate their audience.

It’s a new show AFTER the dinner party airs on Nine. Hence the name.

It’s additional content, not what would already be on Nine.

Local productions like My Way.

Some of them have been mentioned in this slide, I believe.
But correct about multichannels. We can imagine their weekly EPGs next year.
I think this a one season thing.
Nine’s focus seems to be, perhaps expectedly, on the Milano Cortina 2026 Winter Olympics straight after the Australian Open, including Married. So Q1 should be bigger than ever and maybe Nine’s best shares since 2010.
Wonder if they’re forecasting better audiences and ROI including advertisers, than Seven’s Beijing 2022? Which from memory was a bit deflating, following the highly successful Pyeongchang 2018, Ten’s Sochi 2014 and Nine’s Vancouver 2010.
