had a visit to the NBN Television Studios in Mosbri Cr, The Hill and noticed that the building is unmanned inside. How long has this been the case? Also, there is still the old 2006 NBN logo on the doors and the Admin desk.
The total lack of Nine signage doesnāt surprise me at all. The Nine brand has never seemed to sit comfortably with those at Mosbri Crescent.
With playout now coming out of Sydney and sales being handled by SCA, apart from news, I imagine thereād be little else that is now being done out of Mosbri Cres, so the lack of apparent staff doesnāt surprise me either.
When I was there, I also heard 2 females in the locked carpark to the right. Thereās also a 9NBN road sign going into the street.
There were similar signs attached to street signs going down as far as the corner of Darby St and Queen St. Theyāre not there anymore according to Google Street View though.
I didnāt see any other ones around
There isnāt much on Murray on YouTube, but I did find this - itās a special NBN did when Murray and news director Jim Sullivan went on the 1979 Round Australia Trial in a NBN/Young and Green sponsored Holden.

Good to know! Thanks for posting.
Though I couldnāt see any mention of when the new site will start broadcasting?
Shepherds Hill is a good choice, may also perform better with its higher elevation.
Maybe they havenāt got a set date for when the new TX is up and going. Donāt they have to give 30 days notice for that and publish it in the Herald and online?
Changeover is morning of July 28th.
Wonder whatever happened to Young & Green. Probably got bought out
Iām old enough to remember Murray on NBN News. In the Mid 80s he went to PNG to help set up Television up there. Then came back on Prime News in the early 90s when Prime started up in Newcastle.
I think they eventually became Newcastle City Holden.
In between his time at NTN (Niugini television network) and Prime, he was running DDQ 10-4-5aā¦I wonder if he was on air?
And before his time at NBN-3, he was at 2TM Tamworth.
Mayor Mike Rabbitt?
(Old story but itās interesting to see what heās doing in retirement. Driving a shuttle bus was interesting)
The Big Dog goodnight video aired somewhat early. Went to air at 5:36pm at the start of an ad break. This was in Coffs Harbour, not sure if anywhere else in NBN territory saw it too.
Yes, I saw that on the Central Coast feed today too.
He must have been very naughty today to get sent to bed this early.
Stronach the owner of the NBN Newcastle studio site submitted a revised development application to the council in August. The local residents are still not happy with the proposal and it go to the NSW Land and Environment Court in February. An article by a concerned professor at the University of Newcastle:
