Nine contract negotiations 'weaponised' in leaks to media | TV Tonight
“When they were in the process of changing hosts it would be in the newspaper. The information was accurate."
Ray freaking Hadley carrying on like the Pope about the issues within Nine.
You’re one of the main problems you bloviated windbag. Every time you open your mouth you’re bullying someone. Do the organisation a favour and quit.
They should’ve done it ACA style and chased the car ![]()
When does the 7 Spotlight special come out.

It’s very funny Seven has taken this approach when they’ve been subjected to the exact same questions around internal culture and done very little. At least Nine has the balls to publicly release an independent review.
This ^
Tbh though everything seemed alot more fast and dramatic with Seven. Whereas this just seems very dragged out and even after the report came out, they still don’t fully admit how bad things are.
What have they not admitted?
We don’t know this - in fact, Nine doesn’t know it with any certainty either. Its a bit hard to admit to something you have no knowledge of
Knowing relies on people to have reported the issues to the company doing the review, if people have decided (for whatever reason) not to report it then it’s not going to get factored into any measure of how big the problems are.
Nine of them.

An article in the Page 13 section of today’s Herald Sun on the aftermath of the release of workplace culture review mentions that GTV boss Matt James is facing the chop.
Rumours were in overdrive at the “cloud of secrecy” in the last few weeks around Melbourne managing director Matt James being made redundant.
The news of his leaving was expected to be announced along with his executive assistant Jan Williamson around the same time as longtime Nine comms boss Victoria Buchan was told her time was up this week.
While Williamson and Buchan — who knows where all the bodies are buried — are leaving after clocking up 22 years and 15 years respectively, now it appears James is staying on in the role, at least for now, with a structural change to happen at the end of the year.
Wonder if they considered promoting Brent Williams again, wouldn’t it make sense to make him GTV GM/MD as well as his HoS role, just like Seven’s Lewis Martin ended up being
Made sense to have given Lewis the head of sport role back in 2019 because they only had AFL, Cricket, Horse Racing, and Olympics, where Nine now have a wide range of sports, plus Stan Sport to look after - Nine would be better off having someone dedicated to that rather than trying to juggle Nine’s extensive sport output, and their second biggest station.

Nine. Television for eunuchs.

“When they were in the process of changing hosts it would be in the newspaper. The information was accurate."
Nine’s workplace culture review by Intersection found recurring examples of abuse of power or authority within the Broadcast Division, including senior leaders inappropriately sharing confidential information (including complaint related information) about employees internally as well as ‘leaking’ information externally, often weaponising this information in the context of negotiating employment arrangements.
“It was certainly something that would happen,” a Nine star told news.com.au.
“Stories would be written up about the negotiations and the pay rise they wanted. Really specific details and you just knew there would only be a handful of people who knew the negotiations.
“When they were in the process of changing hosts it would be in the newspaper. The information was accurate.
“You would read about your career in the paper and go, ‘Right, so my job is on the line?’”
Nine Entertainment boss Matt Stanton has revealed multiple “active investigations” are underway following reports made by staff about inappropriate conduct at the media company.
“We currently have a number of active investigations underway into issues raised by employees, some of which are being led by an external investigator whom we have partnered with.
Mr Stanton also reiterated to staff that: “There is no place at Nine for the abuse of power, bullying, sexual harassment or inappropriate conduct outlined in the Intersection report or for people who behave that way.
“There will be change at Nine and individuals will be held to account for behaviour of this nature.”
Very interesting.
TV Blackbox understands Nine is currently negotiating deals to expand 9Now’s content offering, with plans to introduce new FAST channels through partnerships with key content providers, including several channels with BBC.

Good, that’s the one thing 9 are lacking in compared to 7+ and 10Play. The Fast Channel market is growing overseas and is a good cost effective alternative to the ever increasing cost of streaming platforms.
