I know there’s a lot of reasons why they probably couldn’t but I would have tried to get AM on air this morning from a strategic perspective. Get on air before Breakfast returns and get on air as the country returns to work today (well - Monday to Friday workers anyway, many of whom were probably back last week too).

Oriini Kaipara anchored Newshub Late this evening I see. Did she ever fill in on 1 News Tonight when Jenny Suo was at TV3 filling in on Newshub Late? If so, a complete reversal.

Looks like it has been scheduled by Sky and in the Freeview guide, but it isn’t back yet, The staff that produce it also produce AM so with the AM staff not on air yet that will likely be why.

That’s strange, the show started with a Live shot of Auckland and the news ticker before it disappeared yesterday. I see all the EPG’s have been amended and there is no 11.30am for the next fortnight.

Quite often how the studio is left in Standby mode incase of breaking news.
