Been in freefall for a while. Shame given they get the most local news for the network.
10 are massively down year on year. But they don’t air any promotions. No one knows they even have news. All they air are the same promos for Masterchef or survivor or whatever crap they’re launching in a few weeks.
10 Perth have historically always been a strong station and often outperformed or outpaced Nine. Especially from the late 90s, helped when Ten got AFL and the hit 2000s and early 2010s reality shows. So it is a shame. Nine have improved in the market in recent years.
I think the axing of veterans Tim Gossage and Michael Schultz didn’t help a few years back, as well as Narelda being shuffled around the network, the presenting from Sydney and back-and-forth to Western Australia and 10’s wider systemic issues dating back to 2011 now.
Numbers are down in all timeslots. Breakfast, Mornings, Evenings, and Primetime. The loss of The Project and Neighbours I don’t believe has helped either.
