I’m not sure if ABC have it in their budget, but they should be leading the way in terms of set design. Hopefully a multipurpose set like 10 that also acts as a home base arrives next year!
The thing is, all the sets were originally designed for the old studio they were in three years ago. The current studio they’re in now, is almost three times the size. They have the capacity to do something world class if they wanted to.

Unfortunately the ABC kinda suffers from the “that’s pretty good for the ABC, we don’t need flashy sets” mentality
But that translates to average looking quality sets
You don’t need to be flashy.

Definitely is. Normal studio isn’t tiled and couch is usually on a raised platform. New set must be on the way!

About bloody time. But it’s a bit odd when it’s happening 2 weeks before Xmas.
Maybe to iron out any glitches over Xmas so that it’s full steam ahead come the new year?

I wonder when it will launch?
I’d say sometime in the new year - the Sydney set took forever (at least 4-6 weeks from memory) and the Melbourne set is bigger/more complicated though they are working with a brand new space which I’m sure will make things easier.

Hopefully it takes up the whole studio and is multipurpose, no more seperate Breakfast, 7pm set and The World monstrosity in there.
