Triple M remain on top with 21.1% (Steady), with Hit closing in on 18.5% (+3.3). This is followed by New FM with 11% (-0.9), JJJ with 9.3% (-1.8), ABC Newcastle with 7.2% (+0.9), and 2HD with 5.4% (+0.2).
In the demos, Hit is #1 in the under-40s, Triple M topping the 40-64s, and 2HD #1 in the 65+.
In breakfast, Triple M’s Tanya & Steve remain on top with 24% (-0.6), followed by Hit’s Jess & Ducko with 18.8% (+2.6), JJJ’s Concetta & Luka with 8.4% (-1.9), ABC Newcastle’s Jenny Marchant & Dan Cox with 8% (+1.5), and New FM’s The Novo’s with 7.6% (-1.1). In drive, Triple M’s Rush Hour topped the slot with 23.6% (+0.9), followed by Hit’s Carrie & Tommy with 20.3% (+2.3), New FM’s Joel Gosper with 11.6% (-0.9), and JJJ’s Tyrone & Abby with 11.4% (-1.2).
The “Other Stations” share this survey is at 21.4%, down 2.3 from the previous survey.
It looks like the NewFM results have settled a bit.
In other words, boring!
But a true reflection of the local media here… radio is so uninspiring, except for 2NUR FM.
That is the best showing for 106.9 since S2/2012
