Triple M is once again on top with 20.3% (-2.1), followed by Hit with 15.4% (+1.5), New FM with 11.4% (+1.4), JJJ with 9.1% (-0.6), ABC Newcastle with 7.6% (-1.7), and 2HD with 5.3% (-0.8).
In the demos, Hit is #1 in the under-40s, Triple M dominates in the 40-64s, and ABC Newcastle tops the 65+.
In breakfast, Triple M’s Tanya & Steve dominates with 20.5% (-3.2), followed by Hit’s Nick, Jess & Ducko (soon to be a statewide show, minus Nick) with 15.9% (+2.7), ABC Newcastle’s Jenny Marchant & Dan Cox with 9.3% (-2.8), JJJ’s Bryce & Concetta with 9.2% (-0.5), and New FM’s The Novos with 8.5% (+0.7). In drive, Triple M’s Rush Hour dominates with 22.4% (-1.8), followed by Hit’s Carrie & Tommy with 16.2% (-0.3), and New FM’s Joel Gosper with 12.8% (+1.3).
The “Other Stations” share is 25.2%, up 0.6 from the previous survey.

Seriously though, that’s a more likely result for all three FM stations.
2HD & NEW FM particularly, need to start streaming, figures wouldn’t be huge for any Newcastle station despite what some in here would think, but still the overall figures in the ratings are including streaming for everyone bar the Sandgate stations, so results will be slightly skewed, you’re not comparing apples with apples, the results should separate the on air & the streaming & obviously the BOG stations would get a * in the streaming share.
New FM’s overall share of 11.4 is its best since S3/2002, when it scored an 11.8, back when it was a rock station. That’s quite impressive when you think about it.
At the same time though, 2HD’s overall share of 5.3 is its lowest ever.
