Next week is finals week of MasterChef Australia on TVNZ2. In an unusual arrangement, next Thursday (August 26) the elimination episode will be shown at 7.30pm as usual, but the contestant reunion wonā€™t follow immediately afterwards like in Australia. Instead, it will air at 9.55pm, after Police Ten 7 and A Current Affair.

The two-part grand final is set for Sunday August 29 and Monday August 30.

They didnā€™t do savvy schudeling in the finals is a utter disgrace

Itā€™s a Masterclass at 9.55pm- not a Reunion, so calm the farm.
They have always aired the Masterclasses later that night as presumably they donā€™t rate as highly. A few years ago they didnā€™t air the Masterclasses at all

The program title may be MasterClass but itā€™s the traditional reunion, as all 24 contestants return to the MC kitchen. First, Andy and Jock will have a cook-off and their food will be judged by the top 3. Andy and Jock will help select an ingredient for the other, and the loser will have to eat a slice of the hottest chilli in the world. Then, Andy and Jock team up to cook against the top 3, each team making three dishes. Their dishes will be judged by Melissa and two other contestants who had been previously eliminated.

So it has no impact to the outcome of the competition- and is basically a filler episode. Hardly an ā€œutter disgraceā€

Is Shortland St still being produced under a Stage 4 lockdown?

Three from three - the last home shopping channel on Freeview is goneā€¦ so long TVSN.

Odd scenario early in Sky Sportā€™s broadcast of the Warriors NRL game vs the Broncos.

They switched mid-action from the Fox Sport feed to the Channel Nine feed. They usually take Fox as worldwide broadcaster for every game they have exclusive rights to, so not sure whatā€™s occurred here.

I know Sky is under the pump due to staff isolating and needing tests due to the positive case at Sky HQ.

Yes. Iā€™ve heard some have decamped to Albany?

Highly likely as the Mt Wellington Building would be getting a deep clean.

Feed switched back to Fox as soon as the match was called fulltime. :man_shrugging:

Do they still have operations at Primeā€™s old studios? I thought they moved out years ago.

I didnā€™t think so either but Iā€™d heard some staff were sent there today after the positive Covid test.

Itā€™s a good thing they still have the old studios for times like this. Wonder if the old Prime News and Paul Holmes studios is still there gathering dust.

Where is the old Prime studio out of curiosity, does anyone know?
