2-part true crime documentary Sydney’s Killer Cop premieres on TVNZ 1 next Monday (December 8) at 8.30pm.
On February 18th, 2024, something deep inside the psyche of Beau Lamarre-Condon – a policeman, celebrity stalker and blogger – snapped. Lamarre-Condon’s ex Jessie Baird, a TV presenter, and Luke Davies were both shot dead with a police-issue revolver that night. How did a trusted member of the police force become a cold-blooded murderer? How was Lamarre-Condon caught… and, tragically, where had he hidden the bodies of the two young men? Over two episodes a harrowing story unfolds around the famous Sydney gay scene, a policeman who flirted as a celebrity spotter, and how his delusional star-spotting would disintegrate around him into a deadly horror show.
The documentary is produced by Australia’s Perpetual Entertainment and distributed by DCD Rights. It is yet to air in Australia for legal reasons. Beau Lamarre-Condon has pleaded not guilty of killing Baird and Davies, and is set to face trial in Supreme Court of New South Wales in September 21 next year.
Season 2 of Mystery Road: Origin, starring Mark Coles Smith and Tuuli Narkle, will have its FTA premiere on Three on Monday, December 22 at 9.10pm.
The Voice Australia’s current season is entering the home straight on TVNZ. The second knockout and the two semi finals will be shown next Monday to Wednesday (December 15-17) at 10.35pm.
Part two has been postponed in the wake of events in Bondi
Shortland Street returns February 16th, 2026 under the theme: Legacy.
A teaser was shown at the end of the cliffhanger episode, Rachel McKenna (Angela Bloomfield) returns to Ferndale.
Christmas with Delta premieres on TVNZ 2 next Monday (December 22) at 2pm. This year’s special was filmed at Channel Nine’s studios in North Sydney in late October.
I used to Watch Shorty Street a couple of Years ago is it still on 7+ in Australia. Also is Classic Seasons of this Show still on YouTube?
Hearld Now possibly coming to TV3 in 2026.
“ Ryan Bridge Show Expansion: The Herald NOW show, hosted by former AM host Ryan Bridge and currently airing on nzherald.co.nz and YouTube, is in discussions to expand to Sky TV’s digital platform, Three Now, potentially leading to a direct linear channel competition with TVNZ Breakfast.”
Was discussed elsewhere when the article went up
Stuff doing the 6pm news though, it might work better on sky open.
Nothing works on Sky Open.
I think the days of worrying about clashing/that sort of stuff (excuse the pun) might be over.

Upcoming changes to Freeview.
Sky Open and Rush are being brought up to 8 & 9, while Eden gets pushed down to 18.
Sky Open +1 and Eden +1 are also being removed.
Not surprised by this. I wonder how long Eden will be around, they’ve had no new programming for ages.
It seems like they gave up on Eden, Rush and HGTV long ago. I can’t remember the last time I saw any promotion for programming on any of those channels, it’s just wall-to-wall ThreeNow promotion. Most people have probably forgotten these channels exist.
Never really understood the need for Eden of all channels to have a +1 in 2025, it’s not like 3/4 of its programs aren’t already on ThreeNow anyway.
Sky Open losing its +1’s a bit of a shame though, didn’t really last long on Freeview. Maybe they could finally add on the TVNZ ones while they’re shifting stuff around.
Looks like the New Year Fireworks are back on TVNZ (linear) this year.
