Till the end of the year maybe? I don’t think Jim Grenon was a big fan of the concept either so it will be interesting to see what happens there.

Is this just a 2 hour version of that focus bulletin they used to produce and then axed?

I believe it’s closer to ‘Breakfast’ than a news bulletin. With interviews etc.

Australian renovation show Budget Battlers, hosted by former Block contestants Jess Eva and Norm Hogan, premieres on Three on Monday, June 9 at 7.30pm. The program sees Jess and Norm leading a team of volunteers to renovate four houses in four weeks.

It was renewed for a second season this week.

You aren’t going to settle down for a night of tv with Three’s Thursday primetime lineup? Even though it leans heavily on TV2 content from the early 2010’s with shows such as The Middle, Suburgatory and Shameless :rofl:

Three would need to look into getting new American sitcoms and dramas from WBD to make the line up better

Don’t think management are interested, anything new probably goes to Sky as part of that deal. Hence why they are propping up the schedule with those shows. Maybe they should have tried to get Friends and The Big Bang Theory, hours of comfort programming, might have rated semi well enough to give them a consistent evening offering. David Lomas is rating pretty well but the rest of it probably sinks it down.

Another oddity of the three schedule now are these Bravo branded blocks.

You’ve really got to wonder what the point is for WBD to even be in market at this point - they program it like they’re not interested so why should the viewer be?

They want to go out with a whimper to be honest. Make Three as a television channel as un-memorable to the general public before finally pulling the plug. They don’t even promote evening line ups since they lost most of their better rating shows.

They are trying to make ThreeNow a viable platform but second rate content isn’t getting the views that they probably want.

Here is a different (purely speculative) scenario for you. DAZN and WBD buyout Sky TV. DAZN takes Sky Sports Now, WBD takes Neon. They 50/50 satellite as it winds down over the coming years. WBD probably keeps the broadcast channels for now as a broadcast outlet for all of their licensed content.

Wouldn’t need DAZN’s involvement even, Sky and WBD have a long and cosy relationship.
I can easily see them rebranding +HR=E to Sky3, slowly shift sports from SkyOpen, then shut Open and shift Bravo to LCN 4 on Sky. Harmony.
Give it a few years, it will be interesting to see how far off we are!

Three line up is looking a like a dead horse running, if TV3 had not quit the CBS deal in 2012, the channel would have been owned by Paramount Global which owns Australia’s Network 10 and would be a cousin channel of some of the shared programming could have aired to the network which TVNZ owns currently.

Did WBD get the Kordia fees waived in the end? If so then maybe that’s what keeps TV3 going. No transmission fees, fill the grid with cheap content from the WBD archives and it probably ticks along just nicely. It just feels like such a nothing-y channel these days. Which is a shame because it used to be great. It always felt a bit more edgy than TV1 and 2. I’d be very surprised if TV3 still exists in 2030.

I could see them buying out Sky and maybe merging it with Foxtel (or whatever’s left of it).

Always thought there could be more synergies found between the Aus & NZ networks with likeminded programming, while still acknowledging and respecting each countries differences and nuances when it comes to news etc.

Even more so at a time amid rising costs, efficiencies being sought and market consolidation. Would absolutely not be surprised to see DAZN try to acquire a vehicle in NZ to expand their programming and presence.
