Season 11 of The Voice Australia premieres on TVNZ2 this Friday (October 7) at 7.30pm. Keith Urban, Jessica Mauboy, Rita Ora and Guy Sebastian all returned as coaches.
There were several changes to this season:
- The introduction of Battle Pass button, allowing coaches to fast-track artists straight through to the Battle Rounds. Each coach could only press the button for one artist in the entire phase of blind auditions.
- New to this season’s blind auditions, a coach could block another coach at any time, even during their pitch as long as the blocker turned his/her chair.
- The Callbacks, a tough new round for the coaches as they must decide who they would take through to the Battle Rounds from their chosen 12 artists.
