Sadly that is is the case.

Did NZ not get the streams 7+ did?

The Paralympics coverage on Duke was competitive at certain times against the competition:

Duke’s Paralympics coverage was also popular, peaking at 2.6% of 25-54s from 8.15-8.30 and averaging 1.6% from 7.00-10.00 before dominating late-night.

But at 9.30, all the major networks lost to Duke’s Paralympics coverage, which averaged 2.7% of 25-54s and 2.1% of 18-49s.

Duke’s Paralympics coverage proved competitive for the 9.30 hour, when it was neck-and-neck with Coro in the 18-49 demo and seesawed with the soap in the 25-54

If given the chance it could of had bigger ratings on TVNZ 1 especially during a lockdown.

They probably did, they’ll be world-feeds right? TVNZ buried their’s on 1news.co.nz, rather than TVNZ On Demand… they were buggy and difficult to load, which is probably why the outgoing boss of TVNZ mentioned last week that the network will be investing in their digital technology in the next few years!

Why? How stupid…

Don’t know about that. While it doesn’t attract the audiences which the Olympics does, Seven’s Paralympics coverage rated decently for them.

The Weakest Link Australia is premiering on TVNZ1 on Sunday 19th September.

Magda Szubanski (from “Fast Forward” to “Kath & Kim”) is the host - aka “The New Weakest Link”. In fact, when “The Weakest Link” first appeared on Australian screens 20 years ago, the original host was the late Cornelia Frances.

In New Zealand, we had our own version of “The Weakest Link” and the host was Louise Wallace.

Hopefully The Weakest Link Australia rates better on the other side of the Tasman than it did for Nine here, where the ratings were behind niche programs on the ABC.

Apologies to our Kiwi friends.

Really! Wow, was it that bad? Or did it deserve better ratings?

Imagine it airing on TVNZ 2 or Three it would rate well?

Just noticed that Millionaire Hot Seat has moved to Choice TV and plays weeknights at 6:30pm

Because it did not rate well as hoped

What did Three have in the slot before Hot Seat?

Love Island UK which did well for them on demand but terribly in the 5pm slot

Seems like a strange lead-in to the news, then again so does Aussie Gold Hunters. Was that after Family Feud NZ wrapped?

Also, can anyone share any info on whether TVNZ air The Chase Aus on broadcast? I can only see older eps with Andrew on TVNZ On Demand.

The Chase Australia airs on Duke at 3:55ish weekdays

Yes, They tried the Australian version and rerun of Modern family but the failed either

In my opinion, most shows during the 5-6pm zone do not rate well due to strong competition. That’s because they do not compete with the runaway success of The Chase UK.

With the lockdown at Level 4 in Auckland will they need to cut back episodes of Shortland Street per week on tc or stop airing it assuming they aren’t making new ones or have they filmed enough weeks in advance?
