Trackside radio may go off air temporarily if they need it to but unlike Radio Sport which provided content to sell around advertising Trackside radio is primarily there as a service for the TAB to broadcast race meets for people to make bets with the TAB.
I would think The Hits local announcers would be some of the first to go if there were cuts to radio.
I have noticed The Sound can play the same songs, but at least they refresh the playlist often and play a wider variety of songs than Australian stations.
either that or just be like Mix and play just wall to wall music
Just announced - Jono & Ben on The Hits Breakfast from 20 April.
One hour Isolation pop up show from Monday 6th called Iso-luncheon 12-1pm

April Fools prank?
But I did wonder if Thane Kirby would replace Jono, Ben, Matt & Manaia
I think they would have been better leaving Matt & Mania on drive, itās a low key, low fuss (and a low cost) kind of show. It suited the station well. I still believe the high profile talent shows on the station havenāt proved their worth.
In other Hauraki news, day announcer Angelina Grey is off to have another child so Georgia Cubbon is back on the day shift.
Thanks great to see Jono & Ben have a starting date for the hits breakfast
Just an update regarding Radio Hauraki (from NZ Hearld) Tracey Donaldson is taking over the 9am-2pm slot on Hauraki from Monday. Definitely a good move they have made there. Maybe Georgia will go over to Mix?
Yeah thatās a very good move. I was thinking earlier that Tracey would be a good co-host for Thane (or Laura McGoldrick!)
nice
i think at this time of craziness we need stability in radio right now so at least something
sounds normal
i just hope the likes of radio and tv survive
Radio will always survive.
There is no other media like it for reaching the masses reliably, easily, and concisely.
interesting article in stuff today regarding the loss of radio sport
she has updated her website
so who is doing days on Mix if tracey Has moved to radio hauraki
Based on what Iāve sampled today, no one
its been good listening to the a-z while we are in lockdown and hearing some songs that
do not often get a regulaR AIRING
Not sure what the time frame is on this project (especially at the moment) but here is a little bit more about the new Mediaworks Radio HQ in Auckland.

Is this where the money from selling Flower Street is going?
