With Matt Heath switching over to Newstalk ZB, I have a question to ask. Who is going to take over as co-host of Hauraki’s breakfast show and join Jeremy Wells?
NZME have axed the Southern Lakes breakfast show on The Hits. Ferg to finish his show in under 3 weeks.

With Craig “Ferg” Ferguson’s local breakfast show for Queenstown and the Southern Lakes now axed by NZME, does that mean Jono and Ben replace Ferg and go national (except Hawke’s Bay and Dunedin) when it comes to breakfast?
Jay Jay does a podcast episode with Paula Bennett about why she quit radio. Sorta lines up with the comments above about how she had basically “checked-out” of the job.

With the weather event in Dunedin right now there has been some extra local programming from the networks. The Hits breakfast show on air until 12pm today and Damien and Hannah on The Breeze have been on air since last night and still on air this afternoon!

As to his replacement, I daresay they’re going to keep it under wraps for a while, or maybe it will change to a solo breakfast show? I hear they have been doing some restructuring lately.
Fun fact: ZM’s Imaging Producer is also the station’s new voiceover guy, Sam replaced Tom Harper a couple of months ago. Does anyone know what Tom does now? I think he left NZME
