Where will this show be based? Is Gary still in Christchurch or made his way north.
@theGradyConnell I have two questions for you to ask.
What about Trudi Nelson, who currently hosts Magicās daytime slot (10am-2pm)?
And what about current REX hosts Hamish McKay and Rebecca (Bex) Greaves?
So Im guessing they will sneak 80ās music back into the playlist again as well.
I think it will be Christchurch based.
Trudi is moving to Tauranga from memory but will still work for MediaWorks from there in other roles.
Hamish and Rebecca I understand have new / other roles in the REX family.

Last I heard of Lee Plummer she was reading the news on NZME. Her Linkedin says she still works for Mediaworks, but I daresay that hasnāt been updated for some time.
No Bunty has been moved to workdays, taking over from Trudi. With Trudi gone itās not a very diverse lineup 
The Hamilton-based Mark Bunting, or Bunty as heās also known, is not leaving. When Gary McCormick and Mark McCarron take over as Magicās breakfast hosts next week (8 August), Bunty will move to the daytime slot (10am-2pm) and replace the now Tauranga-based Trudi Nelson as host, according to @theGradyConnell.
Its going to be sad with Trudi gone. I thought she was a really good DJ

If itās Christchurch based, I reckon the plan will be to eventually move Lana Searle to Magic with Gary and The Breakfast Club Auckland based with new hosts for Paul Ego.

Hmmā¦ I donāt think Lana is on brand with Magicās audience. Sheās bang on target with More FMās listenership. And going by Moreās breakfast ratings, I doubt theyād want to change the show now.
But the succession plan should be to move Sharyn from The Edge to More FM Breakfast with Paul Ego.

Sharyn Casey has been on The Edge for more than a decade.
Murray Lindsay goes up till 8pm, then it is automated until midnight, then Blake is on after that. Blake is perhaps the worst DJ I have ever listened to. I cannot stand his nasal whiny voice. I have no idea why they have the guy on.
Yeah I think Lana is perfect for the More FM audience now. Seeing that she has already been on the station for years, she probably wouldāve related well to The Edge audiences earlier in her career.
Seeing that Gary McCormack at his age only recently left the station, Lana has many years ahead of her at the station if she wants
