The first leaders’ debate of Jacinda Ardern vs Judith Collins on TVNZ 1 last night was watched by 1.16 million people around New Zealand (overnight ratings).
TVNZ also recorded an additional 61,700 streams, adding to the overall viewership.
The average audience calculated over the course of the full running time of the programme came in at 657,800 viewers.

Tonight, the TVNZ Young Voters Debate coverage begins tonight at 7:30pm; featuring Labour’s Kiri Allan, National’s Simeon Brown, Green Party’s Chlöe Swarbrick, ACT’s Brooke van Velden and Robert Griffith of NZ First.
This will be moderated by Q+A host Jack Tame alongside 1 NEWS’ Maiki Sherman.
