Network Ten and Paramount+ Football coverage

On 10Bold right now in Sydney is a show called “Matildas Magazine Show” The panel are talking about Thursday night’s match. It’s a 30 minute show.

If 10 can air a “Road to the Melbourne Cup Carnival” on the main channel on Friday nights at 10.30pm, then why can’t they do the same for the Matildas Special? Or at least promote this?

Ten/Paramount really needed to secure the Premier League rights, but as usual they kinda halfassed it and missed out.

IMO they really should stick with standard watermarks, sponsor boards etc for sport programming when airing on multichannels.

What’s the purpose in using the Bold logo, sponsor board for this? Surely it’s better to promote / reinforce the main channel or sports brand. Both during the broadcast and post for any socials, as well as news coverage etc.

Also, where’s the safe zones for watermarks with it overlapping with text at the top there?

Post game show as seen in Brisbane - Sydney and Melbourne went to The Project straight after the game.

let me guess no post show either for Sydney or Melbourne. Why would The Project get priority when the Matildas should have gotten priority.

It won’t impact you as you don’t live in Sydney or Melbourne. It was also on 10 play and paramount + for those viewers.

Firstly, the post-game would have only been available on Paramount+ since it didn’t air on another channel in NSW or VIC (and therefore wouldn’t have been accessible on 10Play).

Secondly, unless you were watching on Paramount+ to begin with, you wouldn’t have known where the rest of the post-game would be available since the broadcast went from Tara saying the Matildas coverage would continue after an ad-break into The Sunday Project.

Sydney FC begin their absence from the ALW due to their AFC Women’s Club Championship campaign in Uzbekistan. Matches are streamed on the Uzbek FA’s YouTube channel (before anyone says anything my understanding is that there was never any option for 10 (or anyone else) to get rights to this, broadcast “rights” were part of the match hosting deal).

Lots of buffering issues with P+ streams tonight, football fans are again not happy commenting all over their socials.
