Network Ten and Paramount+ Football coverage

Did they promote tonight’s Women’s A-League match on 10Bold by any chance? We know that 10 hasn’t promoted anything in 2 months besides The Amazing Race Celeb or, well, that’s all i’ve seen… lol

Realistically should be on the main channel in the host city.

With Australia v Philippines live on main channel in most states on the Sunday, it will be interesting to see if Brisbane and Adelaide will still get 10 News First in the afternoon.

Not worth pushing back The Amazing Race Australia to 8.30pm though.

First game being hosted from the studio with on ground coverage being hosted by Max Burford and Bruce Djite ina different type of desk than normal football coverage.

I’m sure they’ll still be calling play by play from Sydney. Pretty tacky for the opening game. It’s a sell out at Coopers.

My understanding is that Sydney games and the 10Bold games (plus finals) are called from the ground this season. (and all NZ games too of course)

Interesting, sounds like a Fetch issue. Might have something to do with pause and rewind?

2024 upfronts

On the sporting front, Paramount+ will provide front-row seats to the Matildas and Socceroos, streaming live coverage of Australia’s two national teams on the international stage.

As the Socceroos prepare for a date with the AFC Asian Cup in January 2024, fans will be able to enjoy live broadcasts of all the team’s matches as well as the entire tournament’s matches on Paramount+.

The Subway Socceroos World Cup qualifiers will kick off in November 2023 and continue in March and June 2024, when Australia’s men’s team will once again be chasing a place in football’s biggest tournament.

Meanwhile, the CommBank Matildas are ready for their AFC Olympic qualifiers campaign. If they manage to top their group, they’ll progress to the next stage of qualifiers in February 2024.

Locally, every match of every round in the Isuzu UTE A-League and Liberty A-League seasons will continue live on Paramount+.

The world’s oldest national football competition will once again captivate football lovers in 2024, with the final rounds of the Emirates FA Cup available exclusively on Paramount+.

I’m surprised 10 let SBS acquire the 2023 IFCPF Asia-Oceania Championships from Football Australia, considering they’re meant to be the home of football in Australia :eyes:

It’s almost like 10 don’t know what they are doing with sport or football at the moment. :man_shrugging:

You’d have to agree. They need to pick smaller rights here and there and build a portfolio. If they don’t they’ll continue to succumb to the sabotage of the likes of fox and seven “if you go with them you won’t rate even thought they offer you more money.”
