Network Ten and Paramount+ Football coverage

I agree I’m not sure why they wouldn’t just put it on there.

Hosting from Optus Stadium tonight for West Ham’s match against Tottenham, weren’t there for the Glory game.

Harper is expert comms actually in the stadium, unsure if Thomson is in Sydney or Perth (guessing Sydney given he is doing the world feed for the WWC for all Sydney matches).

Last night Newcastle beat Melbourne Victory 4-2 in penalty shootout after scores were locked at 2-2 after extra time, while Macarthur trounced Perth 4-0 tonight. Macarthur will face Campbelltown City in Australia Cup round of 32, while the Jets host Brisbane Roar. Both matches will take place on Monday night, August 14.

So far, 10play will stream four matches in round of 32:
August 4: Peninsula Power v Wellington Phoenix
August 9: Edgeworth v Western United, Gold Coast Knights v Devonport City
August 10: Moreton Bay United v Heidelberg United

Have they recently updated this wipe graphic with the circle less 10 logo, or has it always been like this?

They’ll stream them all

Always I think, doesn’t look new to me. They just use this on these generic matches (internationals have the team logo, Aus Cup has the logo, ALM has their own package).

The friendly will be held on Saturday September 9 (Sunday September 10 in Australia).

Both matches will be shown on 10 and P+ with telecast details to follow.

This is great news but I can’t help thinking Ten P+ should be aggressively going after ALL soccer. All this work they are doing trying to build soccer coverage in AU just to not get the noisy women’s World Cup!
They should be aiming to be the home of football in australia. I know they are trying but it still seems half arsed

I don’t understand why it can’t be shown on the main channel, there is literally nothing stopping them from doing it.

10Bold is the football channel. Why break up the normal daytime schedule (which they obviously think will rate better)?

Is there regular programming on a Sunday at 12pm though? I thought it is full of repeats of cooking and travel shows.

I think 10 chose to air the Mexico-Australia match on 10 Bold so it won’t interrupt the weekend highlights of Studio 10 on the main channel, especially in Perth.

Yeah I honestly don’t think that’s the reason why, viewership of the weekly highlights would be far less than that watching the game I would assume.

No one cares about the highlights of a show that hardly anyone watches during the week.
